窮空間位於澳門聖安多尼堂區亞美打街3A 信興大廈地下，以推動窮文化，滋養富心靈為宗旨，出版本地創作叢書、出售創意手作產品和出借藝文展演空間。為推動本地文化發展，支持本地藝術創作，窮空間與藝術團體足跡合作為期兩年的駐場藝團計劃。窮空間既誕生於富本土氣息的新橋區，故亦將策劃連串以服務新橋居民為宗旨之社區文化活動。

In a city with less and less paupers today, “Qiong” (poverty) is instead our motive power. Because we believe: In poverty, we create. Poor is an excellent catalyst for creativity, we spread boundless creations in bounded space. It let us to treasure our limited resources and to keep us pondering on the possibility of sustainable development. We knew nothing about creative industries, but we appreciate the high value of creativity. We want to peddle our creations, and let creativity keep exploring its endless boundaries.

l          A shop front for selling creative handiworks

l          Comfortable reading areas for members

l          Rehearsal rooms (applicable for mini-performance)

l          Staff Room (applicable for backstage during performance)

Poor Space was founded by three young
Macau art-manic in 2007. These youngsters keep discovering the amazement of being “Qiong” (seeking for creativity through poverty) in their daily lives and aimed to share their “Qiong” experience by nourishing the withered souls in the city. Poor Space provided locations for cultural arts exhibitions and performance, where they also promote local publications and selling creative handiworks. Poor Space is situated in the San Kio district of Macau, a place where full of the sweets of local breaths. Thus they are planning to hold various kinds of cultural activities which point to serve the San Kio community.

In order to promote cultural development and support local art creations, Step Out, a famous local art organization, launched a two-year art project with Poor Space where they cooperate to hold a series of exhibitions, theater works and activities on art education.
